Bishop J. B. Masinde is the Senior Pastor and founder of Deliverance Church Umoja, founded in 1984. He is also the General Secretary of Deliverance Church Ministry that covers Kenya, Uganda and Zambia. Bishop J. B. Masinde is a renowned teacher of the Word and maintains a regular international itinerary that takes him around the World.
Bishop J. B. Masinde is married to Persiah Muthoni Masinde and together they have five children namely Peace, Phillipa, Joy, Joan, and Paul and is now a grandfather to five.
The Lord has greatly blessed his ministry in Umoja and the congregation has grown to about 8,000 members at present. Bishop J. B. Masinde also hosts the popular weekly program, ‘Refreshing Times’ which airs on Nation TV as well as online to the rest of the world. Bishop J. B. Masinde vision is to work in partnership with the Holy Spirit in reaching the world for Christ, making and releasing disciples into the ministry and presenting the church as a fitting bride to Christ in eternity, equipping believers for the work of the ministry.
